Just some sucky poetry. Nothing special just me trying to look on the bright side during these cold winter months......
Snow cascades quickly
upon the ground
Although it appears to be
falling rather violently
The grass seems to have a soft,
White blanket covering it.
A blanket to keep the keep the earth from "catching a cold"
In these chilly winter months.
The white shade of the snow
Represents all that is good and pure.
It reminds us not to despair
In these cold winter months;
Rather we should celebrate,
The positive and life-affirming happenings;
To cease focusing on the bad, cold side of it all,
And celebrate a brand new year, a gift from God,
Each day of life that we are given.
I am thankful.

Sorry I haven't posted in soooo long!!
I have gotten super busy with school and extracurricular stuff. Right now I volunteer at the hospital, which I love, go to school and study, which I also love, and finally try my best to stay in close contact with all of my friends. Which is actually kind of hard, I got a few of them. (Insert hint of Sarcasm here (he he). Plus, we have had a lot of family visiting over the summer and in recent months. So I'm busy chasing around kids and making them laugh. Which is kind of my favourite thing to do, so it's all good.
Now that I'm back in school I'm always reading or writing or studying. That's okay too. My family moved to a new house where I have a giant room in the basement with a desk to study at. Yay!! Bring on the good marks baby!!!
Just a little update and soon I will get back to posting other things here more often. Daily observations and snippets of poetry. Why? 'Cause I'm a writer of course. Nothing makes me happier than this. If I can only get more time in my busy schedule for this, everything will be fine.
Cheers!! ;)

A review of Scott Bartlett's 'Taking Stock'
Scott Bartlett's Taking Stock is a book that is capable of appealing to many different people. It is a book about a young man named Sheldon Mason who is dealing with a very deep depression. He meets his upstairs neighbour, a man named Sam, as Sheldon is attempting to hang himself. Sam wishes to help Sheldon get better, and because of this, Sheldon decides to talk to him about his issues since Sam seems very friendly and like he wishes to assist Sheldon in feeling better.
Sam assists Sheldon in getting help and even helps him get a job at a local grocery store. Sheldon is working there for a while before he notices some odd things about his co-worker Gilbert Ryan. Gilbert seems to know a lot about Sheldon, and in particular, about his mental health history and the fact that he had to be hospitalized.
Sheldon also gets a girlfriend, a girl from work named Theresa. Not only this, but Sheldon discovers there is a deeper connection between his boss Frank, and Sam his friend and upstairs neighbour. They have been having an affair! Gilbert convinces Sheldon to tell him immediately if he hears Frank and Sam in the upstairs apartment again.
As Sheldon gets more involved with his work crowd, he experiences a few episodes of being highly intoxicated or just plain high and and gets sick afterwards and has to take some days off work. This is part of his learning experience, so he learns from them and also he is learning from his experiences with not only Theresa, but also with a woman named Cassandra.
This book makes you question the connections between people and even shows just how well people are able to hide a secret relationship of some kind. It also displays the range of mental or emotional disabilities that can exist within a group of people. It shows. as well, the negative outcomes for people who are just not able to face up to their problems when they have them.

7. Start running on a regular basis at the Works again... Anyone else like running and wish to join me?
Me.
Oh well, my life is incredibly sad and boring and I just have to get used to it.
Here's my list of summer activities:
1. Finish reading all of the books on my summer reading list.
2. Volunteer at the Janeway.
3. Go to Toronto and see all of my friends.
4. Finish up my book. SERIOUSLY.
5. See Dr. Sman. Yes, my neuropsychiatrist in Toronto and the best doctor on the face of this earth.
6. Set foot inside the Eaton Centre and perhaps spend a bit of money......lol
